ROTA AT SEMA
So a lot of these "car" guys, that have nothing better to do than bitch about Rota's booth at SEMA because it's the cool thing to do decided that it was the end of the world when Rota debuted their lineup for vintage wheels at SEMA. Did it ever occur to any of these guys that ROTA is actually making money to be in a SEMA booth? Again and again I've been stressing this dragging topic for eons now, you don't want Rota to be around tell your JDM company to make low cost cast of their wheels then. Rays and Advan can very well do this.You can continue to grief because people can afford your rims for half of the cost in a cool offset.

I rock the shit out of my Rota's. Daily driven & drifting...& guess what, they haven't cracked, exploded or killed anyone.
And if rich people wanna bitch that Rota makes nice looking wheels that us poor people can afford, well, fuck 'em.
+1 on that. I'd rather not curb $3000 wheels. Rotas have good offset at a great price. Daily driven and in real life situations favor cost of expensive wheels.
The fanboys that shit on Rota's got all hyped because the guy that crashed his car cracked his Rotas.
I rock my rotas hard. its my daily driver wheel and i have had them for over a year now with no problems. I live in Queens and drive them around NYC almost every day with roads that you compare to that of the australian outback/land mine field/battle of stalingrad, and yet they too have not exploded or killed anyone. people not to stop this elitist attitude of "just because i have advans, your a clown for rotas" because these same people are the ones who smile in your face at a meet and tell you what a dope car you got but then they go home and talk shit on the internet. fuck them, i hope they get hit by a truck carrying rotas to my house!

One thing ROTA (or cosmic) will always do at SEMA, give away free hats. I don't rock'em, but I do have them. I don't like how ROTA copies designs. I've seen a FEW that were original (I think) that I would buy from them. I got some volks and have ran them on the track and have chipped them. Just hate it when people have them(rota) then try to fake the shit by putting the fake labels on them and pretending they are a set of volks or whatever higher cost brad out there.
BTW- Do got a set off knock-off CE28s I use for autocross. F*ckin tires cost more than the rims.
Rotas are rotas they are designed to do what they are meant to do. Affordable wheels for various purposes. There are a lot more cheaper companies than rotas that sell rims for even cheaper. I do agree with you about people lying about what brand their parts are. I had a guy lie to me that his front bumper on his sc300 is a vertex. What car do you track or drive anyway Sakone?
I have a 2gen eclipse gsx, which when F&F came out screwed the image of the car for years to come. Not that the image was perfect to begin with. Also got a regular FF corolla that gets auto-x.
One the rim subject, yes their are cheaper alternatives like the 949. Just want to get rid of the ignorance of rim choices. I go for great set of tires with "nice" sizing, then decide on rim width/offset. Instead of some shop selling brand-x rims so cheap because they bought them in bulk but rim width and offset suck ass and does nothing to improve the car.
Both real and fake wheels do the same shit. you use them to get to point A to B. fucken haters..
